Pets are a feature in Crown Academy.
All pets currently in the game are either pegasi or alicorns. Celestial pets are a different model of alicorn than the alicorn model used for Legendary and Mystical pets.
Most pets are hatched from eggs, excluding the Mystical pet Zombiecorn (rewarded by a Twitter code) and Celestial pet Lady Candycorn (optionally bought directly from the shop with candy along with from hatching an egg).
Eggs[]
Eggs must be bought with pearls (excluding the Celestial Pet Egg, which is bought with tickets). A Common Pet Egg is granted to new players upon joining for free.
Variations[]
There are six variants of pet eggs that can be purchased, each egg favoring the type it is named for. Purchase price and hatch points required increase with favored rarity.

Hatching[]
To hatch eggs, egg hatch tasks must be completed to gain Hatch Points for the egg, or it can be immediately hatched for a varied Robux cost.
There are five options for egg hatch tasks, in which the player can increase them to 100% by performing the correct actions while the egg is out to gain 5 Hatch Points. These tasks will not increase if the player is riding an adult pet, besides Warmth. Completing hatch tasks will reward 20 experience per task completed.
- Fun - Flying will increase the Fun task.
- Cleanliness - Swimming in water will increase the Cleanliness task.
- Exercise - Running on the ground will increase the Exercise task.
- Warmth - Standing close to a campfire will increase the Warmth task. Standing closer to the campfire will increase the rate of completing the task.
- Sleep - Setting the egg in a nest at the Pet Stables in the Enchanted Fairgrounds or at the grass area in the Food Court in Crown District will increase the Sleep task.
When enough Hatch Points have been attained for the egg, the egg will hatch, and reward a random pet skin with its type applicable to the random chances for the egg.
Functions[]
Newly hatched pets start as baby pets, and must grow into adults. A pet grows into an adult after 15 minutes of real time, or the pet can be immediately grown for 25 Robux. The player can also choose to keep the pet as a baby permanently if they also pay 25 Robux. Baby pets cannot be ridden by the player, but they can instead pick up and hold the pet.
After the pet grows into an adult, it can be ridden around when running or flying. Riding pets disables the ability to swim or affect egg hatch tasks besides Warmth. Running while mounted on a pet is faster than running dismounted, even when sprinting.
Hatched pets can be named and renamed at any time. They can also be released (deleted) through the My Pets menu.
Additional interactions with pets include to feed them, pet them, groom them, or to have them sit down, which will make them no longer follow the player.

Trivia[]
- Prior to August 26, 2020, the only egg type that could hatch Mystical type pets was the Mystical Pet Egg. This was later changed that Unique, Rare, and Legendary Pet Eggs had a 1% chance to hatch Mystical type pets.
- On an unknown date possibly around the beginning of November 2020, egg drop rates were adjusted so that eggs no longer had any chance of dropping rarities below the egg's rarity.
- The Minty Candy Princess (Celestial) pet design appears to be a reference to Minty from Gen. 3 My Little Pony.
