The Shooting Star Event is an event in Crown Academy that ran between August 28, 2020 and August 31, 2020. It was Crown Academy's first in-game event, and is part of the Dark Crown of Origins ARG.
Event[]
Every 20 minutes in servers of all locations (excluding the Crown Crest Mall), a message in the chat will pop up stating that a shooting star has been spotted, known as the Meteor Shower occurrence. Three random crystals in the area will be affected to drop the Star's Align Halo Crown 💫. Once all affected crystals have been found and the crowns collected, there will be a crashing animation and a message in chat will state all the rewards have been found for that Meteor Shower session. After the session ends, the 20 minute timer starts again until the next session, shown in the top right corner.
Once an affected crystal is mined by a player, the crown drops instead of the usual pearls, and if the player has not already collected the crown, a short cutscene will play before the item appears in the player's inventory. The player cannot collect the crown multiple times, nor view the cutscene again, after obtaining the item.
The cutscene starts with what is implied to be the player acting surprised about the item, before finding a note that reads:
Teehee!
I wanted to send those "ROYALS" on a wild goose chase for nothing! And I think they're buying it.
There's absolutely nothing to chase after. Or is there?..

After the note is closed, a scripted animation plays with an unnamed fairy flying into a portal, before returning to the player then acting surprised about it. After this cutscene ends, the player now has the crown item.
